EOTC Excitement and much more...
Mistletoe Bay  by Te Kura o Kirikiri Tatangi Seatoun School

Kia ora

We are racing to the end of the year and at the same time, cramming a lot into every day.

Last week, we had our Year 3 and 4 and Year 7 EOTC programmes. This week, our Year 8’s are based at Mistletoe Bay in the Marlborough Sounds (photo above). Thank you to all the adults who assisted over the last few weeks. We could not run any of our EOTC programmes without your support. Our children really are very fortunate to have such amazing experiences! I have included a few photos below.

Another highlight was yesterday’s Year 5 and 6 Market Day. This was the culminating activity of their Entrepreneurial Inquiry this term. Last week, in preparation for Market Day, we held our very own Dragon’s Den, where students pitched their ideas to adults who critiqued their proposed business.

Phasing out of BYOD Programme in Years 5 and 6

We have previously communicated this, but I wanted to ensure everyone is aware. After listening to parent feedback and our internal self-review, the Board has decided to phase the BYOD programme out in Years 5 and 6. Year 5 students will not bring a BYOD device in for 2024, it will be optional for Year 6. We are deliberately reducing the use of technology.  We do have school devices students can use when required.

Helpers Morning Tea - Tuesday 12 December at 11am

We warmly welcome parents to join us for a helper's morning tea next Tuesday.

Final Hui

Have you marked this in your diary? It is at school, on the field. If the weather does not cooperate, it will be postponed to Monday, December 18th (outside if possible, or in the Hall if required).

We will be sending out a final Steeple Rock next Thursday.

Holiday programme at the beginning of 2024
