Newsletter Week 10, Term 2, 2022

Kia ora e te whānau,

Thanks for helping make Term 2 such a great success!

We have now come to the end of Term 2... and it has been a BIG ONE! Loads of amazing learning opportunities and students pushing their limits and giving things a go. We have all been so proud of them.

We hope you have seen on Seesaw this week, a new post in your child's reporting folder. This is another part of our reporting picture that includes other Seesaw posts, formal reporting posts and Learning Conversations. Our goal with reporting is to give you a full and rich picture of the progress your child is making, celebrate the successes and plan goals and next steps together to see everyone succeed. We are looking forward to having meetings with you early next term and talking about your child's learning journey together. There is an item in today's newsletter with more information and instructions on how to book.

I think most children (and maybe a few staff...) at school are feeling a bit ready for the holidays to come along - there are some tired faces out there!

If you are looking for some things to do over the break with your family - how about checking out some of the walks on the Kiwi Guardian website. Here you'll find out how to:

It's a lot of fun!

Or you could visit the Waikato War website on the Heritage New Zealand site. Here you can find a driving tour that takes you to significant sites - there is even a downloadable audio track that you can listen to at each stop to learn the history of the area.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone back for the start of Term 3 - on the 25 July.

Ngā mihi nui,

Michael Harrop
