Today at lunchtime we were treated to a concert, performed by some of our music students here at school. Mitch from MusicHouse who has been tutoring our students, proudly presented a lunchtime concert where students were able to showcase their learning to an audience.

Three more classes began their work with the team from Taku Wairua today, hearing from guest speaker Jackie Kiddle - New Zealand rower and current world champion in the lightweight women's double skull!

As part of our commitment to ensure the safety of all students at our school, staff have recently completed an asthma refresher with Asthma Waikato.

Room 1 recently had an amazing day celebrating being at school for 100 days this year!

Book Week is all about celebrating books. It's a fantastic week and great to see young learners getting excited about books! There will be many fun activities happening here at school including a Dress Up Day next Thursday where we ask children to come dressed up as their favourite book character.

KidsCan have kindly donated more jackets to our school for children who have enrolled since our 2020 allocation. Some of our students will have received these already. Further jackets are still to come.

We are looking for volunteers to help us prepare some basic lunch food.

Berkley Middle School 2022 Prospectus and Enrolment Forms were delivered in the last week of last term and issued to our Year 6 students.

All games are held at Gallagher's Hockey Centre unless otherwise specified. Please note - Silverdale Wetas are playing at St Pauls the next two Saturdays.

Learner Conversations were held yesterday afternoon and will be held again tomorrow, Thursday, 5th August.

The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) is a group of parents and teachers that work to create fun events for the kids and fundraise for the school. We always welcome new members - we’d love to see some new faces at our meetings. If you can’t commit to meetings but would like to help out at events, please let us know. We especially need parents that can help out during the day occasionally.

Although we do our best to keep areas blocked off when particularly muddy, there are times when getting wet or a bit dirty or having an accidental slip, still happens; particularly if we are out doing class physical education or fitness!

This is a fundraiser for Silverdale Normal Year 5 and 6 Basketball Teams. During Term 3, milo (with a marshmallow), is available for students to buy on Friday mornings before school.

Will not speak out? Got raw energy? Do not like speeches? Join our after school classes where children gain confidence and real-life skills.

It is great to see all these certificate recipients from our assembly last Friday.

Mai FM held a competition through Facebook in the school holidays asking which school they thought deserved some free gear that they had in their studio.

Winning designs - There will be two winning designs in each student category. A total of eight winning designs will be allocated. The winners will be notified via their schools at the start of Term Four. By entering the competition winners agree to their names being published and to be photographed and/or interviewed by the press or the promoter for publicity purposes.

This is the last term that we can send in your Yummy apple stickers and labels for our school’s 2021 share of the $200,000 free DG Sport sports gear prize pool. Please continue to collect these and bring them into the school office for processing before the end of the term.
