Welcome back to Term 3!
And a special welcome to all the new families who have joined us this term - welcome to the Silverdale whānau, it's great to have you here. If we haven't had the chance to meet together yet, please get in touch with myself (michaelh@silverdale.school.nz) or the office (office@silverdale.school.nz) to make and appointment time. I'd love to talk to you about our awesome school. One of our guiding principles at Silverdale is Whanaungatanga - and we hope that in a very short time you will feel at home and know that this is your place too.
It has been great getting back into our school routines last week. I've really enjoyed heading out into the playground and classrooms, seeing so many happy and excited students. In Term 3 we have both our school and inter-school cross-country events. Already our learners are in training here at school and many have set themselves personal goals they are working towards here. I have been impressed with the positive attitudes and persistence I have already seen throughout the school in running games and training.
So we are all looking forward to a great term together of learning, growing and challenging ourselves. Looking forward to seeing you all in at various times throughout the term.
Noho ora mai,
Michael Harrop
Principal
