As part of almsgiving during Lent, St Francis donates money to Caritas. Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand is the NZ Catholic Bishops’ agency for justice, peace and development. Caritas works on behalf of the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference for a world free of poverty and injustice through community development, advocacy, education, and emergency relief.

For our easTTle writing, the year 2 - 6 students were given the following task - " Think about the places that are special to your community. Choose one of these places. Write to explain to your reader why this place is special." We want to share with you this beautiful piece written by Bronson Brown, which captures the Special Character of our school.

Kākano Hub is so excited to have a wooden Pirate Ship in our Learning Through Play. The children have been sailing the seven seas dressed up as pirates. Great role playing and drama has been seen by all!
