Champions don't show up to get everything they want; they show up to give everything they have.

As always, our focus is on how we can be the best for our girls, so they can be the best they can be in their academic, personal development and co-curricular pursuits.

Our best wishes go to all our examination candidates. For Year 13 IB students the examinations have special significance as they are the culmination of two years of learning. For many of our NCEA students, these examinations determine whether they achieve their Level Certificate and influence its endorsement level.

Last week we marked a very special day in our school calendar - St Margaret's College Founders’ Day.

The SMC Foundation Art Exhibition and Sculpture Garden is on next weekend and this is your last chance to come to a special 110 Year Anniversary Opening Night on Friday 6 November.

This newsletter seems to cover a wide range of the alphabet from Archery to Volleyball. It is good to see a few events have actually managed to go ahead recently after their previous respective postponements and our SMC girls have enjoyed some fantastic results.

Congratulations to all the incredible SMC champions honoured last night at the Sports Awards evening.

Last Thursday we were treated to an incredible display of student projects showcasing their learning in the Creative Technologies Faculty. All who attended were impressed and inspired with the skill, design process and creativity of the work.

Congratulations to Lara Chiswell who has been selected as one of the SGCNZ Young Shakespeare Company of 2021.

Thank you to everyone who has ordered and picked up their Christmas goodies. The great news is we have been able to secure another delivery for next week and can still take orders up until 8am Monday.

Another favourite day was celebrated last week when we welcomed over 450 grandparents and special friends to our school.

Our Boarders' Christmas Dinner was held last week and it was such a great night including a special farewell for our wonderful Y13’s.

With so many changes happening throughout the year we have been unable to host our Cranmer ladies for their annual school chapel and assembly, so we were thrilled to be able to host them at a special chapel service in St Mark's Chapel recently.
