The Tahuna Hall was full for the welcoming assembly on the first day of school. Te Taiopeka welcomed the new students and teachers into the hall before Mr Hunter gave his opening address. Staff were also introduced to the students and a warm welcome was given to our International Students.

Former All Black and Otago rugby icon Gary Seear passed away this week. Gary attended Tahuna in the early sixties. Mr Hunter actually played a couple of games with Gary at Southern in the late 70's. Gary was missed off the Tahuna Wall of Fame but we will get him added up there soon.
