Twinkling in the winter sky just before dawn, Matariki (the Pleiades) signals the Māori New Year. The appearance of Matariki heralds a time of remembrance, joy and peace. It is a time for communities to come together and celebrate.

As part of developing Football in Schools, Nelson Suburbs came into our school on Thursday 26 May.

44 children chose to take part in a competitive cross country trial down at the beach today in the hope of being selected for the interschool representative team to take part in the Cluster cross country at Rabbit Island in a couple of weeks time.

We collect donated bikes, fix them up, and give them to those in the community that may find it hard to buy a bike. We ask for a donation but no pressure if people can't donate.
