Whiria te tāngata - 21 March

From Tony

It has been wonderful to see the balloons in our skies recently & the Autumn sun shining

Ramadan Mubarak to the many members of our school community observing this special time. For our Muslim students and families, Ramadan is a period of reflection, gratitude, self-discipline, and community connection.

As a proudly multicultural school, this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich diversity within our community, learn from one another, share traditions, and deepen our understanding of the world.

Last week we officially opened Pūkeko Tahi class and welcomed 11 new entrant learners to our school. Nau mai, haere mai to our newest students and their whānau - we are thrilled to have you join us!

Board Elections 2025

Are you interested in becoming a member of the Te Ao Mārama Board or do you know someone who might be interested?

In September, Board Elections will be held and a number of our current Board members will be standing down after completing their 3 years as our community elected board.

Formal nominations will be called for in July & you are also welcome to chat to Tony for an overview of the role of the Board, and to answer any queries you have.

Our next Board meeting is being held on Tuesday 25th March, 4pm in the school staffroom. People interested in running for the board are welcome to attend this meeting. At the end of this meeting there will be an informal opportunity to chat to Board members about what it means to be a Board member and what the role involves.

Please email amanda@teaomarama.school.nz if planning on attending.
