From the School Board

Tēnā koutou katoa ngā whānau whānui o Te Ao Mārama.

I hope this finds you and your whānau well as we come to the end of another interesting year.

Despite the challenges and uncertainty that we’ve had throughout the last couple of years it has been inspiring to see our whānau and community working together and doing what we needed to do to empower our tamariki to be best versions of themselves.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support throughout the year and we looked forward to that continuing in to the new year.

It was a wonderful to see lots of you at Christmas in the Park last week. It’s been a while since we’ve been able to gather in larger settings and I’m sure all the tamariki had a blast. A big mihi goes out to the teachers and staff for organising the event, and especially to the tamariki for sharing some of their amazing talent with us all.

Tony and the team have been working on some awesome projects in the background and we look forward sharing more about these in the new year. Plenty of exciting times ahead for our amazing kura, tamariki and the community to look forward to so watch this space.

Here’s hoping the weather gods play their part this summer – make sure you enjoy the well-deserved break with your whānau and friends, make plenty of good memories and we look forward to seeing everyone again in the new year.

Meri kirihimete me ngā mihi nui o te tau hou.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
