Our Inquiry Unit about Features and Change has lead our thinking and wondering to landforms being made of rock. So we have been investigating about the different types of rocks!

For Inquiry this term, we have been focusing on ‘Features and Change’.

The Tūī tamariki have been making connections across all their learning this term as they explored the concept of 'Landforms'.

To build on our Inquiry learning, Korimako tamariki were lucky to receive a visit from Sean Rees, a Geotechnical Laboratory Research Engineer from the University of Canterbury.

In order to gain a deeper understanding, tamariki have been having hands on learning experiences about geological features.

Developing key skills of collaboration, communication and co-operation through artwork as well as reflecting on the significance of Matariki at this time of year.

Are you interested in taking part in two Mana Ake Parenting Courses? Tuning into Kids is a six-session programme for parents/caregivers of children aged 5-12 years.Tuning Into TEENS is an option for parents/caregivers of tamariki in school years 6-8 (10-13yrs).
