“Who runs the world, Girls!” TGC celebrated female empowerment with a splash of colour on International Women's Day, observed globally on 8 March 2024, which serves as a powerful reminder of the strides made towards gender equality and the ongoing struggle for women's rights. It is a special day set aside to applaud the accomplishments of women from all walks of life, pushing for a balanced scale of gender parity and nurturing a world where discrimination is a forgotten word and every woman and girl can soar to their highest potential.

The Tauranga Girls' College Rowing squad had a very successful weekend competing in the Aon North Island Secondary School Championships at Karapiro from the 1st-3rd March. This was the first regatta competing in our school colours. It was great to see our squad persistently keeping up with the competition and securing impressive placings throughout the finals at the end of the regatta.
