How good are you at maths?

On August 13th we held the TGHS 2021 Ball.

Year 12 Outdoor Education went on their Snow Trip from the 4th-6th August

Ellie, a Year 9 at TGHS, has been doing karate for almost seven years now and successfully passed her 1st Dan black belt grading at the end of 2020.

In week one this term Year 9’s and 10’s put their Maths skills to the test in a fast-paced team quiz.

The House is off to another great start, and with heaps of changes and dates in the calendar, we will be busy. Written by two Year 10 girls of The House, Alana and Maiah.

We have copies left over from the Hostel Centennial held last year.

On 12 August we had five teams representing Timaru Girls’ High at the annual Years 9 & 10 Aoraki Mathematics Competition.

Year 9 Art students have kept busy sending in photos of being creative this last week.

Celebrating Success in Junior and Senior teams.

Congratulations to Nyah Chittock and Katelyn Henke for gaining third place in the national Go With Tourism and Service IQ competition for secondary school students.

Throughout this project the girls learnt how to draft a pattern for boxer shorts, based on their individual body measurements.

"What a Hoot"!

Some Year 10 Materials Technology students displayed amazing community spirit by making drawstring bags for the Plunket Society.

The pressure is on for the senior Art students as they do their best to have most of their work done by the end of Term 3.

Term 3 is a busy one for students, whether it’s selecting school subjects for next year, applying for tertiary courses or looking into employment opportunities.
