Principal's Word - Term 2 Week 6

Kia ora everyone,

A short update from me this week as I have succumbed to a winter bug and am currently resting at home. This serves a a timely reminder that there are a lot of winter illnesses circulating in school at the moment including COVID. This week we have noticed a growing number of students who are off sick with COVID. Please remember that the current rules are that should a student test positive for COVID that they are to isolate for 7 days. If someone else in your house tests positive then your student is able to come to school but must test negative each day for 5 days. 

Earlier this week I emailed parents informing them that the industrial action taken by our teachers in the PPTA union has now resumed.  A reminder that Year 10 students will be rostered home on Tuesday 6 June and Year 9 students will be rostered home on Thursday 8 June. I will let you know if there are any changes to this action.
