New Zealand Aqua Bots competition

Chris Bowen & John Macdonald - November 13, 2018

Last Sunday (4th November) four teams entered the New Zealand Aqua Bots National competition at the Richmond Aquatic Centre. There were 33 teams from all over New Zealand.

It was a great day! Waimea intermediate students put in a fantastic effort with team “Ocean Man” getting a 1st in the “noughts and crosses” challenge and team “ Dandilion blowers” getting 2nd in the “Captain Cook” obstacle course . The other two teams put in a great effort overcoming some technical difficulties.

Well done to all those who entered, you should be very proud of yourselves and a big thank you to the parents and caregivers who came along to give support.
