Students who live more than 3.2 Km away from school are eligible for the free school bus service. If you are eligible to travel on a bus, please fill out the Google Form

On the first day of school, we meet with bus students to help them find the correct after-school bus.   For the first couple of weeks of the school year, students line up in bus lines to board the buses, until they become familiar with where their bus parks.

If your child plans to catch the bus on the first morning of school, please see the bus maps by following the above link.  If you live in the country, bus drivers will look out for any students waiting on the side of the road in Waimea Intermediate School uniform in the first few weeks of the new year.  Drivers will discuss with students the safest place to wait in the mornings.

There is a $2 charge for the initial Bus Tag and any replacements required.
