What a surprise four of our wonderful students got when they collected the eggs from our school hens on Wednesday this week.
On Wednesday after spending a fantastic Enviro Ed session planting seeds and seedlings in our edible garden a group of students collected the eggs from our lovely school hens.
What a surprise Adela got when she collected her egg! It was a GIANT! Over 6 cms high!
The hens are a wonderful addition to our school environment. The eggs are collected daily and either used for cooked school lunches, baking and cooking or are sold to the staff. The money collected is used to fund plants, seeds and equipment for our school garden.
