These Year Six children have shown up each afternoon in rain, hail or shine to help the children of Wakari School cross the road safely.

The enthusiastic learners in the Junior Syndicate had a wonderful idea to create games with a kindness element to them!

On Sunday we hosted a Whānau Wānanga (Family Day/Workshop) at Wakari School. This was an opportunity for our families to come together and explore some of our beautiful Māori arts - such as Oamaru stone carving and flax weaving (harakeke).

25 of our athletes recently represented Wakari School in supreme style at the Otago Athletics. We had some amazing results - Ruben Karawana came first in his age group for discus and shotput, Shalia Rowe came third in her age group long jump event plus we had two teams place in their relay finals - U11 girls and U11 boys
