Message from the Principal

This week was the final game of basketball competition for our five Year 3/4 teams on Monday after school. Thank you to Mr Fraser Malins for organising this and to all of the staff and parents who helped: Mr Kyle Seckold, Miss Nicole Davidson, Annette Hynes, Amy Price, Ellen Woodcock, Aaron Stevens and Merrin Luscombe [Y7 learner].

Help Us Raise Money for Samoa's Deadly Measles Epidemic This Friday!!!

On Friday 6 December [this Friday] the ambassadors will be running a COIN TRAIL fund-raiser for Red Cross to support the people of Samoa currently in the midst of a deadly measles epidemic. This is a particular issue for our principal Ms Sylvia Fidow who is of Samoan heritage. Any small coins gratefully received outside the library from 8.30am [it is not a mufti-day].

Rolleston College 2020 Year 9 Induction Morning

On Monday 9th December Rolleston College will be hosting all of their 2020 Year 9 Cohort on site for a Welcome Morning. Learners are to arrive at 8:45 am (please make your own way there) and to meet Mrs Murray outside the auditorium entrance on the grass. Please come in full school uniform. We will then all go in as a group at 9am. This will be finished at 12 noon, allowing learners to return to school for the afternoon. Mrs Murray and Mrs Clarkson will walk all the learners back to school. Rolleston College are looking forward to meeting all of our learners who will be attending their High School next year.

CanSail - Lyttleton Harbour

We have been offered the opportunity to take some of the Year 8 learners sailing in the Lyttelton Harbour through the CanSail Charitable Trust, on Wednesday 11th December from 12:30 – 3:15pm. 20 of our Year 8 Learners will be taking part in this wonderful opportunity.

It is an exciting time for our Year 8 learners as they prepare to move off to High School next year, so we would like to acknowledge all of their hard work and wonderful achievements during their time at West Rolleston Primary School.
