The Board of Trustees has been informed that teachers at our school will be taking strike action over a number of days, however there has since been a cancellation to the scheduled rolling strike for Tuesday 11th.

Showquest is a competition where students, New Zealand wide, come together to produce a dance performance to share following a theme or topic. This year Westland High School competed for the first time. The senior dance class and middle school dance class combined to create an 8.35 min dance.

Signlink Graphics have been helping the students to create new training shirts for the Rugby Academy.

Auditions will be held on 30 June between 10 am and noon; and 1 - 3 pm in Room 11 at WHS.

The planned kayaking and rock climbing trip for J Te Reo and our French international students had to be rescheduled to the Hokitika Town Pool and an indoor climbing wall due to weather, but that didn't stop everyone from having a great time.
