Zone Winter Sports Tournament

Well done to the 51 students from Ruru who competed in the Zone Winter Sports Tournament on Thursday 5th August. Wigram Primary had two football teams, 1 rugby team, and 2 netball teams head to Hagley Park, while our hockey team went off to Nunweek Park.

Further to our article in the last newsletter regarding drop off and pick up issues, particularly on Curtis Street - driver behaviour did improve for a day or two, but has reverted back to dangerous, illegal parking, turns & stopping etc.

Worm farm/ Compost Bin

Wigram Primary School is excited to introduce to you our Worm Farm and Compost Bin. Over the past term the Garden club, Eco club and Mr Rob worked hard to build and create our very own worm farm. We used recyclable materials to build the Worm Farm/ Compost Bin and we had lots of fun making it.

Lunch Orders on Line.

We have Subway for lunch orders on a Wednesday each week and sushi from Kayio on a Thursday. Orders must be in by 9am on the morning the food is needed. Orders can be placed at www.lunchonline.co.nz

In our Hornby Community there is a swimming pool, service centre and library being built at Kyle Park.
