The Unicorns

Over the past two weeks we've spent some time team building and getting to know our children. As week 3 begins, our Literacy and Numeracy programmes begin.

Mathsbuddy

Thank you to all that have paid $30 to sign up for the year. This week, Passwords will be given to the children who have signed up, this week.

They will be assigned knowledge and strategy activities that they will have a chance to do as part of their Numeracy rotation in class, but can also sign in at home and practice their skills. The speed skills competition in Te Ngahere is fierce. Can anyone take down year 6 Chris Porter this year?

Remember, when you would like to join us on Mathsbuddy, you can pay via the office.

Learning Programmes

Our core Literacy and Numeracy programmes begin this week. The teachers are very excited to be rolling out their phonic focussed 'The Code' spelling and reading programme, and writing based around 'The Writing Revolution' approach.

Digital Team Building

M Pakeke were the first group to go through a digital challenge teaming up year 5 and 6s using their digital literacy skills, embracing theatre sport and under a strict time limit. We look forward to seeing C & R Pakeke produce similar clips.
