End of Year Reflections: A Message from the Secondary School Deputy Principal

As we approach the final day of Term 4 next Friday, we eagerly look forward to our end-of-year prizegiving, a celebration of the achievements and success of our students from Year 9 through to our Year 13 leavers. This is a time to come together as a school community, to reflect on the hard work and dedication of our students, and to recognize the contributions of those who have supported them along the way.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks to our incredible team of teachers, support staff and the many volunteers who help make these opportunities possible for our students. Whether it is driving a van to ARA or sports events, assisting on camps, facilitating mentoring, or supporting students during exams as readers and writers, each of you plays an invaluable role in the success of our school. Your contributions have a positive and lasting impact on our young people and I am truly grateful for your dedication and support.

It has been an absolute privilege to work at Amuri Area School for the past three years. Throughout this time, I have developed a deep passion for the learning and nurturing of our students, guiding them as they transition from childhood into adulthood and prepare to step out into the world beyond school. The journey is not always easy, but the growth and development I have witnessed in our students is nothing short of inspiring.

As we approach the end of the school year, I would also like to acknowledge the staff members who will be leaving our Amuri community to pursue new opportunities. We thank them for their dedication and service to our school and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

Finally, I would like to wish all our students, from Year 9 through to Year 13, a safe and enjoyable summer break. May you have the opportunity to rest, recharge and return next year with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

Thank you once again for an unforgettable year. I look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of our Amuri students in the future.
