What beautiful weather we are having. I am sure we are all enjoying the opportunity to be in the warmth and feel that summer has arrived. It brightens all our moods!

On Saturday 29th October two rugby sevens teams travelled to Geraldine to play in the South Island Rugby Sevens tournament.

Due to COVID restrictions at the beginning of 2022, our current Year 9 families missed out on a Parents' Information Evening. The PTA would like to invite current Year 9 parents to attend a Parents Evening on Thursday 17 November at 5:30pm in the Performing Arts Centre.

Loren Edwards is an exciting up and coming tighthead prop, who has played an important role in the success of her school, club and the Canterbury U18 Red side she represented in the representative season.

Happy Halloween!! Student Librarians made a display for Halloween in the Library. They have enjoyed wearing witchy hats and spooky gowns to enjoy Halloween in the Library.

Christchurch Girls’ High School/Te Kura o Hine Waiora are deserved winners of this year’s School of the Year, with the school locking away the Miles Toyota Cup, the South Island Final and the national title following a draw with Manukura in the final.

This annual competition is run by the English department and requires students to show an appreciation of Shakespeare.

Last weekend, 28/29 October, our Korfball team participated in the South Island Korfball tournament, which was held at Main Power Stadium, Rangiora.

Gillette Venus Cup Regional Cricket Tournament Our Christchurch Girls’ High School/Te Kura o Hine Waiora 1st XI Cricket Team competed in the qualifying tournament for the Gillette Venus Cup last week, 25 – 26 October 2022.

On Friday 28th October, we held our annual Christchurch Girls High School/Te Kura o Hine Waiora Film Festival in the Performing Arts Centre.
