EPro8 is an engineering, problem solving and innovation challenge for students in years 5 to 8. This year, the competition ran throughout the last week, from the 18th to the 22nd of March.

Last year Bridgette was awarded a full four year rowing scholarship from Indiana University.

Our annual school Cross Country is fast approaching - Wednesday, 3rd April, at Bishopscourt. Fingers crossed for beautiful sunshine, however, a decision will be made at 7:30am to postpone if need be. If the weather is not favourable, students will attend school as normal and the rescheduled date will be Thursday 4th April.

Last week the Senior A volleyball team travelled to Palmerston North to compete in the national competition.

The Columba College First XI Cricket team competed in the Gillete Venus Bates Cup Cricket Challenge across the weekend, vying for a top finish to gain entry into the National Championships in Christchurch later this year. The teams were lucky enough to play games on the pristine grounds of the Otago University Oval, and some great cricket was on display!

Our Middle School teams showed that reading pays off in the recent Kids' Lit Quiz.

This incentive initiated by Sport Otago and the Dunedin City Council, to help get families active, is always a hit in the Junior School.

A fun filled and highly 'competitive' netball battle against the 2024 John McGlashan College Prefects was held during the lunch break on Tuesday 26th March, in the Columba College Marsh Sports Centre.

A Columba College Year 12 student travelled to Tauranga last week to participate in the NZSS Triathlon Championships, and we are delighted to report that this wonderfully dedicated, hard working and diligent athlete achieved some amazing goals!

Georgia (Y5), Madeleine (Y7), Nini (Y8) and Emily (Y8) all took part in the Dunedin Orienteering Schools' Series competition, comprised of 4 different events, during Term 1.
