Hillmorton High School is proud to announce that this year, a record-breaking seven teams represented the school at the Winter Tournament.

Congratulations to our band Fire Tiger for competing in Bandquest

Laughton Kora held a Workshop in the Kura for Senior Music Students.

Honouring their ethnicity and demonstrating our diversity, a number of students wore culturally-based clothing for Cultural Fest.

Please encourage your child to come to the Student Office if they have lost something at school. Sometimes items turn up a few weeks after they have initially been lost. At the moment we have a lot of unnamed drink bottles and non-uniform clothing, including items from the Yr 9 camps earlier in the year.

A few things to note...

Students in our Writers' Group spent an hour after school learning ways to develop great characters, with award-winning young adult fiction writer Jane Higgins.

Making the most of exam week, some of our non-NCEA students spent a few days enjoying the beauty of the Mackenzie District.

Some of our new Term Three international students recently attended a pōwhiri and mayoral reception at Ngā Hau e Whā National Marae.

Dance NZ Made is an interschool dance competition where students from across Canterbury compete in solo, duo/trio or team dances.
