Kia Ora, Talofa Lava and greetings to the Year 11 whānau of Hornby High School. It is with great pride that I have returned to the school from 2 years leave, and I excitedly join the cohort as they begin their NCEA journey.

Kia ora whānau. I was away when the last newsletter was prepared so this is my first contribution to the Hornby High School newsletter for 2020, so welcome everyone to the new year (even though we are already halfway through Term 1!)

Talofa lava (Hello). What an amazing effort from all the students of Riroriro who took part in Athletics last week. Riroriro did so well in the relays, it was great to see students not in the race get behind them.

Kia Ora, Talofa, Malo E Lelei, Kia Orana, Kamusta, Hei. The start of the year has continued to be a mammoth task but as we settle in and adjust to our new surroundings many an interesting learning journey is emerging for our tamariki.

Tonight whānau of all our year 7-9 students are invited to join us for our first ever wānanga performances and whānau picnic.

Could all parents please avoid driving onto the school grounds to drop off and pick up your children during the peak times at the start and end of the day.
