Nominations are open for the election of six parent representatives to the Greymouth Catholic Schools’ Board of Trustees for John Paul II High School and St Patrick’s School.

Its been an incredibly busy week which has seen us bid farewell to Mrs Smith, who has been a part of JPII for many years. The students and staff both had an opportunity to wish her all the best (see the article below).

Damien Walker, Director of The Studio of Saint Philomena created this Icon for the Feast of the Assumption, incorporating all that represents the faith tradition in Aotearoa New Zealand.

JPII continues to track highly compared with the West Coast and New Zealand.

A new BBQ has been donated to our school out of proceeds from the annual memorial pool tournament in honour of Tammy’s late husband.

On Tuesday, we had our first combined schools Kapa Haka Wānanga, led by Joe Mason, Paula Iraia, Jerry and Pū.

On Tuesday 16th August our school will be participating in the global PISA study. This is an important international research programme in Education with over 80 Countries taking part in 2022.

The well-being focus for this term is Resilience. Each week there will be a different strategy posted to help us build resilience.
