Our focus is still Responsibility – following instructions and we are now looking at getting down to work straight away in class.

The Drama department is holding a fundraiser on Thursday 26 May (tomorrow night) to get our Shakespeare team to Wellington to compete in the National Competition.

The Katikati College Cross Country was held on Thursday 19th March after thunderstorms postponed it from Wednesday. Though the showers kept away it was a windy day for the athletes.

The Education Act 1989 requires every school to complete a charter and a copy of the annual charter update to be sent to the Ministry of Education each year. The role of the Board is to prepare and maintain the school charter.

At Katikati College we celebrate Pink Shirt Day with a mufti day where students are encouraged to wear pink. This year we raised $910 which will go towards the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.

An updated version of the NCEA Student App can now be downloaded from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It is available to use in English and Te Reo Māori, is free to download and can be used from any smart device.

Katikati Playcentre will once again host a mid-winter quiz night on Saturday 2nd July at Fairview Estate Golf and CountryClub, Sharp Road, Katikati.

The Katikati College PTA meets every second Tuesday of each month (except in the holidays) at 7pm in the College Staffroom and all parents/caregivers/whanau are welcome.  Next meeting: Tuesday 14 June 2016.

The Katikati College Techie Boys have organised a Year 9 & 10 Social next week to be held on Thursday 2nd June from 6:30 - 9:00pm.  Please support their fundrasing efforts.

All fees can be paid via Internet Banking or to our Student Office. We also have Eftpos available at the front office however we do not have credit card facility. Updated statements will be emailed out monthly.

Our Special Olympics Football Team took on the Bay of Plenty schools at the annual Otumoetai Tournament.
