Katikati College celebrated Cook Island language week with many activities and opportunities for students and staff to take part this year.

Frisbees flew in front of the grandstand at Moore Park on Sunday, August 15. Katikati was the venue for a New Zealand National U20 Ultimate Training Squad session.

Thank you to Maria Thorn and Julie and David Hayes for hosting Year 13 Innovative Horticulture/Agribusiness students on their recent visit to the honey processing facility.

The Food Technology and Hospitality department are settling well into both the rooms and learning and creating some amazing products.

On Wednesday, July 28 the NZ Blood Service came to Katikati College to run a Blood Drive organised by Year 12 Student Lavleen Kaur.

The Katikati Hot Bread Shop is donating bread and buns towards the Breakfast Club that is held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This is greatly appreciated.

Year 9 and 10 students had such a fun day at Get2Go at the beginning of August.

Western Bay of Plenty District Council is preparing to install shared School Zone variable speed limit electronic signs for Katikati College and Katikati Primary School this term.

A recent stunning night of netball saw all six Katikati College secondary netball teams win their playoffs to move through to Finals Night on Friday 13th September.

Recently Mr Nicholson, Mrs Pekipaki and our Cultural Captain Gemini Matangi were invited to attend Fraser High School's Cook Island celebrations.
