Welcome back to what is always an action packed term. I hope that you and your whānau had the chance to have a restful holiday and spend some time together as a family.

Perhaps a little delayed - Katikati College is now officially on Instagram.

Once again our talented students prepared, rehearsed and delivered a high standard of performances.

Katikati College’s annual school ball was held on Saturday June 19. It was a fantastic night enjoyed by all with attendees being welcomed into a Greek garden experience.

At the beginning of Term 3, we welcomed some new staff to our kura. Some of these teachers are familiar faces around our community and school.

Over the holidays some of our top sporting youth played in representative tournaments for their codes. Katikati College is very proud of the following students who have achieved Regional Representative honours

Our year 8 leader, and very talented Mitchell Preston is performing the role of Gavroche with the Tauranga Musical Theatre at Baycourt this September.

We would like to thank all of our amazing sponsors who helped make this fundraiser a success.

Congratulations go to our Level 3 Hospitality Trades students who picked up a prizes at the competitions held before the holidays.

As part of our Year 9 and 10 Health programme we will be offering the Mates & Dates programme this year.

Two College students participated in this competition in July.

Congratulations to these former Katikati College students who have graduated from Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington between June 2020 and May 2021.

Adolescence is a time of growth and development and can be challenging for some. Our School nurse Cheryl will be conducting health checks on students over the school year, using the Ministry of Health’s “ HEEADSSS” assessment tool.

Australian Maths and ICAS Maths are not far away.
