Kia Ora Parents and Friends of the College,  This term has been a very uplifting and positive term for the school. It is hard to know where to start with the many wonderful things that have happened recently and this is certainly a good indication of things to come. 

Good luck to all our Senior Students who will be sitting their external examinations over the next several weeks.  Timetable is attached.

With the senior students now departing on study leave for NCEA it is the turn of Year 9 and 10 students to make sure they are ready for their exams which will take place in Week 5. With this in mind our ARC focus for these year groups is Effective Revision.

As you know, quad bikes have notoriously difficult handling characteristics but huge appeal for the young and adventurous. May our young “Have fun but come home.” 

Katikati College has taken out the Waikato and Bay of Plenty Chemquest competition for the first time.

Any donations of uniform that is not required next year will be gratefully received. Please drop in any items to the front office that you wish to donate. Thank you

Our Year 9 students are participating in the ‘Watties/ Salvation Army Challenge’ to collect cans of food, create a structure with the cans for a New Zealand wide competition and then donate the cans to our local food bank. 

The Katikati College Young Enterprise Team won two awards at the Regional Young Enterprise Awards Dinner last week.

We recently held our Senior Sports Prizegiving to acknowledge the 1st teams in all codes and award the members with certificates of achievement, to present the College Champions their trophies in the school-wide sports and to acknowledge the regional and national representatives.

Staff, students, families and members of the community were taken on an enchanted journey through the Pacific recently at Katikati College’s annual Pasifika Night. 

Congratulations to Jack and Emily Davison who gained 3rd place in the International Youth Silent Film Festival New Zealand Regional Awards.
