On Thursday, we celebrated the achievements of students who have excelled in specific sporting codes. Four students also received a Silver, acknowledging their representation for New Zealand.

Mr Reddiex and William Satterthwaite attended the annual Top Scholar Awards Ceremony at Parliament on May 3rd. NZQA hosted the event and Minister of Education, Nikki Kaye, presented Top Scholars from all over New Zealand with their awards. William gained Top Scholar in Technology in 2016.

Maori language and culture were celebrated last week at the regional Manu Korero Speech Competition. Two of our very talented students, Tūmai and Kiringāua Cassidy, won the coveted overall titles in the Te Reo Māori Senior and Junior sections respectively.

Mahonri Auva'a (Year 9, left) and Emmanuel Ventura (Year 10) have been identified as the Top Year 9 and Year 10 Weekly Notes students for Term 1. 

The 2017 edition of the Scholarship Club enjoyed their annual breakfast meeting this week, accompanied my Mr Reddiex and Mr Brewster. 

Last Friday, staff and students past and present gathered to acknowledge the many years of service Bryan Frost has given to King's.

Four students were selected to attend a workshop at the Readers and Writers Festival last week with three predominant theatre practitioners.

The Caversham Relay was held at King’s on Wednesday and doubled up as the Interschool with OBHS. 

On May 30th Marek Brewster, our Academic Dean, will be hosting an evening where he will inform prospective Year 8 students and their parents about our academic programmes here at King's.

King's has purchased an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) from our First Aid Training providers Workplace First Aid Training Limited.
