On Thursday night we celebrated the achievements of our sportsmen which culminated in the awarding of the coveted Salter Trophy to Finn Ward.

The University of Otago 2019 Scholarships were formally announced this week demonstrating that the hard work our students and staff have done throughout the year has paid off. Literally.

Following an examination last month, Corey Symon, George Bates, Aaron Hewson and Frazer Clarke have been selected for the first training group, preparing for the 2019 Chemistry Olympiad, which will be held in Paris.

Last night I was proud to attended the Otago Polytechnic Pacific Island Recognition Awards and Scholarships with two of King’s Pasifika students.

Our Year 10 Drama boys are presenting their final work for the year; devised theatre pieces which they have written, rehearsed and directed themselves. They have produced some amazing work that addresses important issues youth face today.

Year 10 have been developing their rocket science in class, developing a rocket which they can launch with chocolate prizes available to the longest/highest flight.
