We celebrated Youth Week in the last week of Term 3.

Logan Park High School has deviated from the norms of school leadership by announcing Peter Hills and Kristan Mouat as the school’s new co-principals.

The Treble Cone Ski field welcomed Logan Park High over a weekend in August, with warm spring conditions. 

We've had an amazing time celebrating Korean culture at the end of September.

There has been a lot happening in a range of sporting codes across Term 3.

Congratulations to Ahinata Kaitai-Mullane and Ziggi Kaitai-Martin, our 2017 Mana Pounamu Young Achievers' Award recipients. 

Senior students sat practice NCEA exams in Week 8 of Term 3. 

Over 6 weeks in August and September twelve year 9 and 10 students have participated in the Logan Park Junior Chess Championships. It was run as a round-robin competition with everyone needing to play 2 games each week.

For 8 months this year, a group of twelve Year 11 and 12 Logan Park students have attended a coaching course which has been held every Thursday, at study time, called A.C.E. 

Congratulations to George Sabonadiere, Year 12 who is our new Student Representative on the Board of Trustees. 

Year 12 and Year 13 Film Night was a great success.

In early August the Jazz Band traveled to Blenheim to compete in the Southern Youth Jazz Festival.

Logan Park's version of Master Chef saw our Year 9 & 10 Korean and Year 9 Japanese classes creating traditional dishes.

As part of the Year 12 Physical Education programme students completed achievement standard 2.6 "Evaluate leadership strategies that contribute to the effective functioning of a group". 

A group of international students enjoyed a trip to Lake Tekapo whilst Kiwi students sat school exams.

Competing against other Dunedin High Schools, in Technology Design Subjects such as Design and Visual Communication, Digital Technology and Fabric Technology, Lorna Ryan has achieved excellent results for her 3 piece garment. 

In September the Junior Boys football team won the premier reserve grade in the local school competition. 

Students did really well in Otago University, Australian and ICAS maths competitions this year.

Love Waltz With Fireworks – this is the title of an exhibition of chairs that have been painted in response to poems. 

The Year 11 PE class went rock climbing at Long Beach, as a part of the Physical Education programme. 

During the first eight weeks of Term 3, all Year 9 classes took part in a reading challenge. 

Congratulations to Isla Thomas and her talented team for organising the Dunedin High Schools' Poetry Slam.

Congratulations to Siobhann Quinn for her prize from the Dunedin School of Art.

Our fiercely contested ​Interhouse Futsal competition ended this month with the overall winners being Omimi House.
