Year 0/1 Learner Profile certificates

by Beverley Smith

Each week in our Year 0/1 team hui, the teachers select 2 students who practise and show the Learner Profile attribute of the week. For the past 2 weeks, we have been learning about being Principled. Being Principled means that we are honest and always tell the truth. It also means that we do the right thing, even when no one is looking. This week Swaraj and Emma (Room 14), Harlow and Georgia (Room 15), Justin and Avery (Room 16), Ellia and Betsy (Room 17) received certificates. Congratulations to these principled students.

From being in the classroom to learning through play, they have tackled all things that have come their way. We look forward to being on their journey through school as they develop socially and academically.

Gardening Club Update

by Iris Leng

What a busy session we had this week in Gardening Club! The tamariki sowed more seeds and planted some lettuce seedlings into the empty garden bed. Thanks to the helpful Compost Club children who dug in some vermicasts into this bed, we hope our veggies will grow quickly. The gardeners also harvested some basil, we will get to eat some pesto next week.
