Week 2, and the winter break seems a distant memory already. Term 3 is a very busy term, we've kicked off with with Whanau Conferences, winter tournament for the Years 5-8, and Strum, Strike & Blow for our ukulele aficionados. 

The SE Zone Winter Tournament was held this Wednesday at various locations around South Hagley Park.  The games were modified and extremely fast-paced with many lasting just 10 mins in total. At the end of the day, five teams successfully qualified to compete at the next level of competition.

Under the Transdisciplinary Theme of Sharing the Planet, T@TT are investigating the interconnectedness of the biotic and abiotic factors in an ecosystem. We are using Google Classroom for the the first time to curate the information students can use in their inquiry.

Team Rock Solid's debut to the silver screen was a dazzling success on Tuesday night!

Room 4 have been having a lot of fun with the BeeBot robots lately as part of their Maths learning on mapping, orientation and position.

We have been super lucky to have the amazing Marty & Clare so generously donating their time & talent to take our school photos the past few years. Not only have the photos been fabulous but this is also tremendous fundraiser for our school. Thank you so much Marty & Clare!  We are lucky to have you!

The AED so generously donated to our school last term has been installed this week...(hopefully something no one has a need for anytime soon) it is so great to have this available in our community! A huge thank you to the amazing family who arranged it!!

It was so uplifting to see so many children enjoying making music together on Wednesday Night. 6 students from MPS strummed up a storm on their ukuleles with over 600 other students from around Canterbury.
