A huge congratulations to our sailing team who came home as Top of the South champions at the South Island Secondary Schools Sailing Regatta! They placed 3rd overall and have qualified for the national competition at Algies Bay in the holidays! Well done to Nicholas Corry, Logan Hanlon, Ash Cole, Micah Dunn, Morgan Barak, Ben Hahnel and Shay Smith. And good luck for the nationals!

Congratulations to 13 year old Maddi Harrop who scooped up 3 medals from the Škoda South Island Schools MTB Championships last week! Maddi placed 1st U15 Enduro, 2nd U15 Downhill and 3rd U15 Cross Country.

A massive well done to Astrid Sayer and Ruth Buckland who have both been successful in gaining a place on the 2023 BLAKE Inspire course with full scholarship! Nayland College is delighted to bring the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Jojo, Mayzie la Bird, Gertrude McFuzz and a world a fabulous Dr Seuss characters to the Theatre Royal stage 11-13 May. This dynamic, colourful, crazy show in one 75-minute act is perfect for the whole family.

As previously advertised, Monday 24 April will be an NCEA Review Staff Only Day. There will be a further NCEA Review day later in the year. We will confirm the date once notified by the Ministry of Education.

The PPTA has advised the Nayland College School Board that unless there is progress with negotiations, its member teachers at our school will take part in a third full day strike on Tuesday 9 May. Furthermore, from Thursday 4 May to Thursday 8 June, different year levels will be rostered home based on a schedule outlined by the PPTA and shared below.
