Our first full newsletter for 2020!

For a number of years, Nayland College has debated the relative merits of horizontal and vertical tutor classes. In 2020, we have decided to go with both, in the hope of gaining the maximum benefit for our students. This means that year 9 and year 10 will have horizontal tutor classes (students of the same year group) and the senior school will have vertical tutor classes (years 11, 12 and 13 in each tutor group).

Important evenings next week for all Year 9 and Year 10 families to meet their tutors and hear an overview of our pastoral care systems at Nayland College. See below for dates, times and additional information.

Daniel Wilson has been appointed by the Minister of Education to the board of Education New Zealand; the government agency for building international education.

We are forming a Nelson Youth Choir to generate a love of singing in a choir; to provide the opportunity for members to be taught the art of choral singing; to produce choral music of a high standard.
