What began as my way of supporting NZ Forest and Bird has turned into an annual event at our school.

The end of the year appears to have arrived suddenly. Fine settled weather is welcome as the syndicates plan for days spent exploring the area and enjoying activities outside.

Our homegrown 2023 production.

“A Queen may abandon her hive to look for a new home with more space. Usually she will take 80% of her workers with her, leaving behind larvae which nurse bees will feed Royal Jelly to as they hatch. This is the process to create a new Queen.”
