It's that time of year again. The time when the Year 7 & 8 students begin to prepare for their formal later in the term. 

Thank you to everyone for ensuring your child has their sunhat this term.  With the warmer weather it is also important that all students have a water bottle and that they use suncream.  All classes will have suncream available.  If your child has an allergy to certain suncream brands please let your child's teacher know.  We also encourage children to wear sunglasses as another sun protection.  This term we are reviewing our sun protection policy.

27 students took part in the ICAS Mathematics exam last term and the following students will be acknowledged at our next whole school assembly on Monday 31 October for their amazing achievements.

18 students took part in the ICAS English exam last term and  the following students will be acknowledged at next weeks whole school assembly on Monday 31 October for their amazing achievements.

Term 3 was an exciting term where students had an opportunity to contribute their ideas to the Education brief before it was submitted to the Ministry of Education on 1 October.

As you know, the Oaklands School Twilight GALA will be held on Friday 2nd December. The GALA will be a recognition of our community and will have loads of fun activities and fundraisers which will directly benefit your child in the classroom.

We are currently nearing the end of our 2nd year as a PB4L school. Below is an overview about why we are doing PB4L and where we are heading.

Any child leaving or arriving at school between 9am and 3pm must be signed out at the office.

We have itinerant music teachers who come into our school each week and offer music lessons.

A reminder that students cannot be on the school grounds before 8.30am in the mornings.

With the large number of students unwell it is really important that you let the office know if your child will not be at school.

In Terms 1 and 4, all students must wear a hat when they are outdoors.

The purpose of our complaints policy is to provide clear guidelines for the school community in raising and resolving concerns and complaints.

Please respect our NO GO zones and times and be considerate of other students and their families.
