The recent rain has lead to part of the field by Room 23 turning into a muddy pathway. The Garden Club is digging out a path which we will edge with wood and fill with bark. It was great to see such enthusiasm for hard work. Well done.

I’m Isaac Rule and I am the teacher in Room 6 this year.  

As we reflect and discuss what our students will need in their life time there are specific skills and knowledge they will need to have.  Digital Fluency is one aspect of learning for the future. In the years ahead, digital fluency will become a prerequisite for obtaining jobs, participating meaningfully in society, and learning throughout a lifetime. (Resnick, 2002, p. 33) [via White, 2013

A reminder to all families that this Friday 17 June 2016 is a mufti day.- the theme is to wear your favourite outfit.

Student Led Conferences are on Monday and Tuesday the 5th and 6th December 2016. This is an opportunity to have your child share their learning and identify their next learning steps.  School will close at 2pm to enable teachers to organise times.

Over the past few weeks the children in Room 10 have been learning about New Zealand Species and Habitats. The children declared their understanding by creating some collage art.

Who is in the lead this week....

Our Māori Language Week will be held in Week 10 this term.

WOW - what a weekend it has been. So exciting to be involved in helping other people - particularly the children of Syria.

Over the next two weeks all students will go through our school values in the library.

An important message about scooters at school.

Dates for your diary.

Any child leaving or arriving at school between 9am and 3pm must be signed out at the office.

With the large number of students unwell it is really important that you let the office know if your child will not be at school.

The purpose of our complaints policy is to provide clear guidelines for the school community in raising and resolving concerns and complaints.

Please respect our NO GO zones and times and be considerate of other students and their families.  

A reminder that students cannot be on the school grounds before 8.30am in the mornings.
