The final year 10 camp for term 1 departed on Friday 26th March. Eighteen excited young men, 5 senior leaders plus 4 staff all determined to fit as much as possible into a week with a forecast promising quite a bit of rain.

On Wednesday evening we were able to finally celebrate the academic success of our students in 2020.

Last night, the choir performed five of their songs to whanau, to show what they have been up to in term one.

Over the weekend of the 19/20th of March, Hunter Burgess performed as part of the John McGlashan College Pipe Band which competed at the RNZPBA National Pipe Band Championships.

This term McIndoe house has started strong in the house competitions, winning the Athletics. We look forward to the upcoming cross country competition at the start of Term 1 and we are already practicing for the Haka competition in Week 8 of Term 2.

After a year’s hiatus, due to the Covid-19 lockdown, the Year 13 PE Triathlon was back at Aramoana.

Recently I have been given the opportunity to head out to a building site every Friday in the hope to gain some experience and knowledge of the building industry.

It was a sublime Wednesday afternoon when the OBHS Prefect team descended down into St Hilda’s for one of the year’s hallowed events: the annual inter-school-prefect-netball match.

On Wednesday, 12 May the school will close for tuition at an earlier time to allow for parent/teacher interviews.
