This week, the school has enjoyed the opportunity to welcome the Education Review Office team into the school.

Like Mr Hall has said multiple times this term already, we are at the business end of the year.

Last night OBHS hosted and participated in the semis and final of the Dunedin Secondary Schools Debating Competition, run by the University of Otago.

The first ski trip of the season returned from an enjoyable weekend at Cardrona on Sunday night. Eighteen hardy students made the most of the bountiful fresh snow despite rather cool temperatures.

Room 13 has been a hive of activity the past three weeks.

Surfing is popular at Otago Boys'. Our team compete at the weekly secondary school surf ladder competition at St Clair every week in the summer.

Last weekend the South Island Diving Championships were held at Moana Pool.

Congratulations to Year 9 student Sam Hughes who has headed to Australia to compete in a number of dog sled races.

The annual Otago Secondary Schools Music Festival will be held at the Dunedin Town Hall on Tuesday 13 August at 6.30pm

The socks have arrived, and they are great!

The Otago Regional Council has a new door to door bus service, as the 19 BUS now goes along Arthur St North to the downtown Bus Hub and returns (takes 5 minutes).

The next meeting of the Otago Boys' High School Parents' Association will be held in the school library on Thursday 19 September 2019 at 7pm.

Quick Rip is a fast game that combines 7's and ripper together.
