13 Reasons Why

Welcome back boys. I’m sure you enjoyed the break and are ready for another term of hard work and fun at Otago Boys'.

Congratulations to the OBHS Brain Bee team.  Kelvin Weston, Colby Allen, Max Lough and Liam Connolly have made it through to the regional finals to be held at University of Otago in July.

At our most recent Board meeting, the success of the 2017 Otago Boys’ Fair was acknowledged. Over $30,000 raised was a massive achievement, and this will enable us to make a substantial investment in our IT capability. The support of the Otago Community Trust to match the funds raised will also assist markedly.

In a first for the school, four boys have made the 55 strong NZ Athletics team for the Oceania Games to be held in Suva from the 28th June to 1st July. There will be over 20 countries attending and both Australia and New Zealand have named strong teams. 

Congratulations to Year 10 student Michael Ruske who has been selected to the NZ Under 16 Select team that will compete at the Medibank Classic in Melbourne, Australia from the 8 - 13 June.

Recently four OBHS students represented Otago in a  Junior Table Tennis fixture against Southland in Invercargill. 

The Otago Boys' 1st XI went away to Timaru in the second week of the holidays, for the annual ANZAC Tournament.

Parent report evenings are scheduled during Term 2.
