Education outside of the classroom is an integral part of the New Zealand educational system, and it serves several important purposes.

At Ōtūmoetai Intermediate School, education has a strong focus on holistic and experiential learning which extends beyond the traditional classroom setting. Here are some key aspects of education outside of the classroom.

We wish to advise all drivers that the front of the school is being monitored by the Tauranga City Council Traffic Wardens and infringement notices/tickets are being issued. Monitoring is by CCTV cameras located on light poles and infringement notices are sent by mail.

Travel Safe in partnership with Intermediate Schools would like to invite 2024 Year 7/8 students to register for Intermediate Bike Safety 2024.

Students from our school attended a waka ama tournament in Pilot Bay organised by Te Wharekura o Mauao recently.

Briearn Egan is a member of the local Archery Club.

It has been an amazing semester so far and the marine specimens keep coming!
