Kia ora koutou katoa and welcome to our first newsletter for 2024. This regular weekly communication - our Weekly Update - will help to keep you abreast of school activities and opportunities for both young men and parents.

Below we have collated answers to some of the questions we are most frequently asked to help make the start of the year as smooth as possible for our school community.

Below is information to help new students and their whānau to become familiar with some of the things that will happen during week two of the year - hopefully, this will help to reduce some of the anxiety many young men will be feeling as they prepare to start their secondary schooling.

Mentoring is a time-proven strategy that can help young people of all circumstances achieve their potential. A junior Mentor’s primary responsibility is to form positive relationships with the young men in their junior form class. They join that form class for roll call three mornings per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and attend Silent Sustained Reading (SSR) once per week.

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a proactive group that is keen to support the education of young men at Palmerston North Boys' High School.

Streakin' Thru The '70's! - PNBHS/PNGHS Production 2021 - this spoofy mad dash through the 1970's showcases over 30 big hits with a large cast and our live band, Yellow Banana!

PNBHS & Property Brokers proudly present the Sportsman's Dinner for 2021, our inaugural dinner was such a great event in 2019 you will want to be part of this night. Eight talented sportsmen join the lineup this year.

Tama Tū, Tama Ora is a partnership programme offered by Makahika Outdoor Pursuit Centre and Palmerston North Boys’ High School. This programme will place year 10 students into an outdoor environment, in which carefully managed situations will mentally and physically challenge them.
