Farewell to a couple of long serving staff.
This week we said farewell to these two incredible women who are both retiring. Mrs Rendall has been with us for 27 years and was also given a Living Treasure award from the ex-girls. Ms Burden leaves Queen's having been a teacher of French and Mathematics, as well as sports coordinator for a time. Both will be truly missed for the huge contribution they make to the school.

Last week we spent four days travelling around the different beaches of Dunedin surfing. Some of us were experts and honed our skills while others of us learnt from scratch.Thanks to Ms Civil, Mr Sherborne and Ms France for looking after us for the week!

The Central Otago camp involved; biking, walks, exploring a garden maze, camp cooking by the river, swimming, zip lining and bungy jumping. Thank you to Ms Earland, Ms Ellis, Ms Rogers and Ms Lowther for taking us on an adventure filled week.

During camp week, a group of 20 Year 10's went to Twizel. Some of the activities that they did during the week included; swimming, biking, Tekapo pools, Hooker Valley walk and a 3D movie. Thank you to Mrs Abbott, Ms Meronek, Ms Geissler and Mrs Signal-Cambridge for looking after us for the week.

Camp week was chocka full of activities for the Ruataniwha camp. We biked, swam, paid a visit to Ms Koni on the way up, played Frisbee Golf, watched a 3D movie, walked the Hooker Valley walk, went on the glacial explorer, visited the Tekapo pools and fed salmon. Thank you to Mrs Geddes and Miss Cross for looking after us for the week.

Well done to two groups of Year 9 students who made it through to the National Finals of the 1,2,3 Tech Challenge. Georgia, Tait, Mackenzie, and Ryah won the Otago-Southland Regional Competition with their Kindness app, and Petra, Lily, Sienna and Aiesha are a wildcard entry with their Mental Health website.
