Congratulations He Waka Kōtuia

by Queen's High School

He Waka Kōtuia are this year's overall winners of Te Hautoka 2021. Out of the seven performance items that each group are judged on, He Waka Kōtuia gained first place in six: Haka, Poi, Waiata a Ringa (action song), Te Reo Māori, Moteatea (traditional chant), Waiata Tira (choral) and Whakawatea (exit). They will now represent our region, alongside Te Wharekura o Arowhenua, at next year’s national competition. Ka rawe koutou!
