Steeple Rock - 25 May 2023

From The Principal - 25 May 2023

Thank you to everyone, both students and adults, that supported last Friday’s Pink Shirt Day. Together, we can stop bullying.
Pink Shirt Day  by Te Kura o Kirikiri Tatangi Seatoun School

Walking around the school always impresses me. This morning I have taken some photos to share just some of what happens every day to make Seatoun School the place it is. Thank you to all the parents that willingly give their time to our school.

Other highlights over the past week include:

Mr Finnigan has commenced a coding club that meets each Thursday.

We regularly visit our local beach area. This Tuesday, a group of students went for part of their Tuesday lunchtime and helped tidy the area.

Well done to the 56 children that participated in last week's  Wellington regional chess competition, and thank you to Mrs Carey for all her leadership, passion and dedication towards chess.  Our school had the greatest number of participants and the top four places;  Theo 1st, Boyu 2nd, Bruno 3rd and Lorenzo 4th.  Theo and Boyu have been invited to the Nationals as well.

This Wednesday, we had 57 students participate in the Eastern Zone Cross Country. It was tremendous to see the effort and passion shown by all participants, and as usual, Seatoun had tremendous success.

Please let us know if your child is away from school

We have quite a large number of children away sick right now. Please let us know each day if your child is away from school. We would prefer you use the HERO App as it saves your admin staff’s time. We are unsure if this is general sickness or COVID related. If in doubt, please test your children and let us know of any positive cases at covidresponseteam@seatoun.school.nz
